The remote Discovery Lake Lodge offers guests a world-class fishing experience in the heart of the Canadian wilderness. The sprawling resort stretches across six secluded lakes ranging in depths and structure that will surely fit your needs. Whether you are a newcomer to the sport or a seasoned angler, the fishing will leave you telling stories for years to come.
From the opening spawners in May to the end of the season in September, the walleye action is excellent from end to end. The location of the fish is the challenge, given the water temperature, climate and time of the day, but you’ll find them quickly. Rocky shorelines, inlets and river mouths provide an excellent habitat year-round.
If you’ve ever had a 40”+ pike push a wake toward your incoming lure, you get it. It is the ultimate fresh water adrenaline rush when you hook into one of these monsters. They will strike when least expected, or expected, if you know where to look. From the grassy weed beds to the shoreline drop-offs, all of our lakes provide excellent trophy pike fishing year-round.
As if the pike and walleye fishing wasn't enough, let's throw some lake trout into the mix. Zarn Lake features a one-of-a-kind experience for catching lake trout. Catch them high in the early season and deeper as the season progresses. A few lake trout fillets in your take home bag will surely go over well.
In recent years, the smallmouth bass population has really taken off on a couple of our lakes and our customers are pulling in some lunkers! Challenge yourself in finding these fresh water gems and get ready for a great fish fight.
